Numbers documents not syncing from iPhone

I Just got a new iPhone 6, and am trying to load up my documents on to numbers. The app installs properly, and all the documents appear from the icloud in shaded grey with a load bar, but they never load up. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. I've tried creating a document on the iPhone but it doesnt load up to the iCloud so it doesn't load onto My iPad.Ive also tried turning off iCloud Drive for numbers on my phone, then turning it back on again. NOTHING seems to be helping! my software is all up to date too.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!
